Sheryl Suzanne Crow (born February 11, 1962) is an American singer-songwriter and actress.

Her music incorporates elements of pop, rock, folk, country, and blues.

It is a cold day but the sun slants in through the heavy red curtains to the dark wood-panelled recording studio where Crow is sitting on a sofa, a tiny figure in a pretty polka-dot Ralph Lauren dress and battered brown leather jacket.

Now 52, Crow is often described as the world’s biggest female rock star: she has won nine Grammy Awards during the past two decades, sold more than 50 million albums and performed with some of the biggest names in the industry, including The Rolling Stones, Michael Jackson and Bob Dylan.

He was asked by the host on the Sirius XM program if his head got big when he dated the If It Makes You Happy hitmaker as he replied: 'Yeah, it was a roll man.'It was a good ride. Obviously it didn't work out, but I think and I hope she's happy. He has two more children - seven-year-old son Max and six-year-old daughter Olivia - with current girlfriend Anna Hansen bringing his total to five.

Sheryl is also a parent as she has two adopted sons: nine-year-old Wyatt and six-year-old Levi.

Crow has garnered nine Grammy Awards (out of 32 nominations) from the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences.

In addition to her own work, Crow has performed with the Dixie Chicks, the Rolling Stones, Jerry Lee Lewis, Stevie Nicks, Michael Jackson, Steve Earle, Prince, Eric Clapton, Luciano Pavarotti, Willie Nelson, Smokey Robinson, John Mellencamp, B. King, George Strait, Tony Bennett, Kid Rock, Sting, and Zucchero Fornaciari, among others.But her life has been turbulent: she has survived breast cancer, a brain tumour and even Lance Armstrong, to whom she was once engaged.Friendly, easy-going company, she says it was her illness that prompted her recent shift into country music.At first I think she is laughing hysterically, but the black rivulets running down her face make it clear she is weeping uncontrollably.We have met at her home, a sprawling ranch outside Nashville where she lives with her two adopted sons, aged seven and four.It's her second marriage -- she was wedded to soccer player Ashley Cole for four years, until 2010.
